Editing Modules

The module needs to be “isolated” as the only item showing on the right side of the Content page in D2L, before you’ll be able to edit it fully.

1. Click [Content] on the main navigation bar.

2. In the Table of Contents, click on the name of the Module you wish to edit. This will effectively “isolate” the module on the right side of the Content page, so you can edit it.

3. Click the [inverted black triangle] next to the Module title and select [Edit Title]. You may also set the completion method, download the module, move the module, or delete the module.

Editing Topics

The process is similar for editing Topics; the module containing the Topic to be edited must be “isolated” on the right side of the Content page before you can properly edit it.

1. Click [Content] on the main navigation bar.

2. Click the title of the module which contains the Topic to be edited.

3. Click the [inverted black triangle] next to the title of topic you wish to edit and select [Edit Properties in Place]. You may also view, change, or download the file.

4. Click on the Topic title and enter a new title. You may also set additional restrictions and hide the document by changing from [Published] to [Draft] status.

5. Click outside the title box OR click [Update] to confirm additional changes made.

Note: Modules or Topics in Draft status will *remain* hidden, regardless of date/time availability, until you publish them. For additional instructions on modifying the restrictions for Modules and Topics, see http://uwmltc.org/?p=8468.
