ePortfolio Presentations are web sites that you can easily create and use to display a collection of text, images, or media.

If you have not already done so, log in to D2L (http://d2l.uwm.edu) using your ePanther ID and password. Go to your D2L course site by clicking on the name of your course.

  1. Once you are in our course, click on [ePortfolio] in the upper navigation bar.

  1. Once you have entered your ePortfolio, click [My Items] in the top navigation area.
  2. Pull down the [Upload] menu.
  3. Select [Presentation].

  1. Enter a [Name] for your presentation.
  2. Click [Save].

You will see four tabs across the top of the presentation page.

  1. Click [Content/Layout] to add pages to your portfolio.

Step #5 (and OPTIONAL renaming Pages – Step #1)

The ePortfolio has already added an initial page.

  1. You can change the name of the page by pulling down the menu to the right and selecting [Page Properties].

Step #6 (and OPTIONAL renaming Pages – Step #2)

  1. Enter a [Page Name]. This should be something descriptive of the content contained therein. However, bacuse this name will also function as navigation for your ePortfolio website, the name should be short.
  2. Click the box in front of [Do not show the page name at the top of this page].
  3. Click [Save].

  1. In order to add more pages to your portfolio, click the [New Page] icon, which looks like a small piece of paper with a blue star.

  1. Enter a [Page Name]. (Again, this should be something descriptive of the content contained therein. However, bacuse this name will also function as navigation for your ePortfolio website, the name should be short.)
  2. Click the box in front of [Do not show the page name at the top of this page].
  3. Click [Save].

IMPORTANT:
Repeat Step #7 – Step #8 entering all the pages that you have planned for your portfolio.

Step #9 – Changing the Banner on your Presentation

The [Banner] is the text that will appear at the top of every page of your Presentation. In order to change the [Banner] on your presentation:

  1. Click the [Banner] tab.
  2. in the [Banner Title], enter your first and last name, or the text assigned by your instructor. (Note: due to the limited amount of space on your ePortfolio, it is recommended that the Banner Title be short.)

Step #10 – Adding a Theme to your Presentation

The [Theme] is the look and feel of your ePortfolio. There are preexisting themes available that will change the background color, header image, and text color. In order to select a [Theme] for your presentation:

  1. Click the [Theme] tab.
  2. Browse the themes. Identify the [Theme] you prefer (or have been assigned to use) and click [Select].

Step #11 – Viewing your Presentation

  1. In order to preview your presentation, click the [View Presentation] link.

OPTIONAL: Reordering Presentation Pages – Step #1

  1. If you wish to reorder your portfolio pages, click the [Reorder Pages] icon, which looks like up and down green arrows.

  1. Pull down the [Sort Order] menu and selec the correct order number.
  2. When the pages are ordered to your satisfaction, click [Save].
