The D2L Grades tool can help instructors track their students’ graded work during the semester, and make reporting final grades easier.
The instructor must first “calculate” the Final Calculated Grade in D2L.
The Final Calculated Grade can not be edited, but the Final Adjusted Grade can be. Here’s how to transfer grades from the Final Calculated Grade to the Final Adjusted Grade.
Note: If you want to export final grades to PAWS, you must first calculate the Final Calculated Grade, and then transfer grades from the Final Calculated Grade to the Final Adjusted Grade because the Final Adjusted Grades are actually what get released to PAWS. The Final Calculated Grade can not be edited, but the Final Adjusted Grade can be.
To calculate the Final Calculated Grade:
1. Click [Grades]
2. Under “Final Calculated Grade” click the down-arrow to reveal the dropdown menu
3. Select [Grade All]
4. Click [Recalculate All] from the the dropdown menu next to “Final Grades”
5. In the popup window, select [Final Calculated Grade] and click [Calcuate]
6. In the next popup window, click [Calculate], read the warning, and click [Yes]
