Desire2Learn (D2L) is the University of Wisconsin’s learning management system for creating, hosting and editing online learning resources. D2L contains a flexible suite of tools for creating custom content for institutions, courses and users.
The UW-Milwaukee Learning Technology Center (LTC) supports instructors in their use of technology in their teaching, including D2L. We have many online step-by-step help files that target specific frequently-used features. Some instructors may choose to explore those tools in more depth, or even venture into uncharted territory with less-frequently-used tools. For that reason, we have made some D2L vendor-authored help files available here.
Disclaimer #1: Navigation and links (including “bookmarking” and “feedback”) may not work as expected in these files. For fully-functional D2L vendor documentation, please log into the Desire2Learn Community site.
Disclaimer #2: Instructors are free to explore this documentation and to experiment with various available tools on their own, however these help files may refer to tools, permissions, and/or features that are not, and may never be, available at UW-Milwaukee; some tools may be available but are not recommended for various reasons (such as the D2L Chat tool). We’re always interested in your feedback, but LTC support may not be readily available for all tools listed here.
IMPORTANT NOTE: the links below are protected; users with valid UWM ePantherIDs must log into the UWM PantherFile system at the prompts in order to view the Desire2Learn vendor help files.
